Sūrah al Qamar - (54 So Olan - The Moon) - سـورة القمـر
( The Moon - Ang Buwan )

Pangnal ko Sūrah

Giai so ika lima a sūrah ko lompokan o pito a manga sūrah a initoron sa Makkah, a aya bandingan iyan na so kaphangokom o Allāh ago so kamamataani ko wahī, a so miaosay ko pangnal ko Sūrah 50.

So mababaloy a osayan ankai a sūrah na matitins ko katharo iyan a ”Ino ba adn a (isa a taw) a pd sa phananadm” pakaiza a makanggogonanao sa pagita ago pangangalk, a miakhasokasoy anan sa miakanm, a oman i isa on na phagalowin on so manga kadostaan a pinggolawla o manosiya ago so kapzankaa iran ko pagita o Allāh, gioto so manga ayat a: 15, 17, 22, 32, 40, ago so 51. Sa tawathawag oto o Allāh sa kapakapamimikiran o manosiya a maiibg so akal iyan o baya a ginawa niyan sa masabot iyan so panolon o Qur’an sa maparatiaya niyan.

So Pamotosn iyan: So kaphakaoma o masa a kaphangokom o Allāh na matatankd, ogaid na kalilipatan o kadaklan ko pagtaw sa sianka iran so sogoan o Allāh sa datar o pinggolawla o pagtaw o Nūh, so Ad, so Thamūd, so Lūt ago so Fir’aun, ino ba adn a pd kiran a makaphananadm? (54:1-55).

Initoron sa Makkah, inonta so manga ayat a 44, 45, 46, ka tomioron sa Madīnah, aya kadakl a ayat iyan na 55, tomioron ko oriyan o Sūrah at Tāriq.

So Hadīth a Miakambowat a Manonompang on:

Pianothol o Abū Wāqid a so Rasūlullāh [s.a.w] na miaadn a pmbatiaan iyan so Sūrah Qāf ago giankai a Sūrah ko manga sambayang a boka sa powasa ago so boka sa Adh’hā, go pmbatiaan iyan sii ko manga kalilimod a manga ala sabap ko kapakararankom iran sa kapkhaaloy o kapasadan a mapia ago so manga pagita, so kiapanagipoon o kiapangadn ago so kaphakandoda on, so kapakaisaisaa ko Allāh, go so kapthankda ko kananabii ago so salakaw roo a pd ko manga antap a manga ala.
بِســمِ اللهِ الرَّ حْـمَنِ الرَّحِيـــمِ
Sii sa Ingaran o Allah a Makalimoon a Masalinggagawn.
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Sa Ngalan ng Allâh, ang Pinakamahabagin, ang Napakamaawain at Ganap na Mapagmahal

54:1

Hassanor Alapa : Miakarani so Bankit ago miabnkag so olan 1641

Muhsin Khan : The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon).

Sahih International : The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].

Pickthall : The hour drew nigh and the moon was rent in twain.

Yusuf Ali : The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder.

Shakir : The hour drew nigh and the moon did rend asunder.

Dr. Ghali : The Hour (The Arabic noun is feminine) has drawn near, and the moon (The Arabic noun is masculine) is cloven.

Tafsir Jalalayn : The Hour has drawn near, the Resurrection is close at hand, and the moon has split, it broke in two at [Mount] Abū Qubays and Qu‘ayqa‘ān, as a sign for the Prophet (s), for it had been demanded of him, and [when it took place] he said, ‘Bear witness [now]!’ — as reported by the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim].

Tagalog : Malapit na ang pagkagunaw ng daigdig, at nabiyak na ang buwan ng dalawang hati, noong hiniling ng mga walang pananampalataya sa Makkah sa Propeta na magpakita siya sa kanila ng isang tanda, kaya nanalangin siya sa Allâh at ipinakita ng Allâh sa kanila ang tandang yaon.

54:2

Hassanor Alapa : Amay ka makailay siran sa tanda na pthalikhodan iran sa gii ran tharoon a salamankiro a sagad 1642

Muhsin Khan : And if they see a sign, they turn away, and say: "This is continuous magic."

Sahih International : And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."

Pickthall : And if they behold a portent they turn away and say: Prolonged illusion.

Yusuf Ali : But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say, "This is (but) transient magic."

Shakir : And if they see a miracle they turn aside and say: Transient magic.

Dr. Ghali : And in case they see a sign, they veer away and say, "A continuous sorcery!"

Tafsir Jalalayn : And if they, the disbelievers among Quraysh, see a sign, a miracle of the Prophet (s), they turn away and say, this is: ‘A powerful sorcery!’ (mustamirr, ‘powerful’, derives from al-mirra, meaning ‘strength’; or it [mustamirr] means ‘incessant’).

Tagalog : At kahit pa makita ng mga ‘Mushrikûn’ – sumasamba ng iba bukod sa Allâh – ang katibayan at tanda na nagpapatotoo sa pagiging Sugo ni Propeta Muhammad (saw), ay tatalikuran pa rin ang paniniwala sa kanya, na sila ay nagpapasinungaling at tumatanggi, na kanilang sinasabi sa pagkalitaw ng katibayan: Ito ay malinaw na salamangka, na maglalaho rin at hindi magtatagal.

54:3

Hassanor Alapa : Go miakambokhag siran ago inonotan iran so manga baya a ginawa iran na langowan a btad na pthakna (ko tampata iyan)

Muhsin Khan : They belied (the Verses of Allah, this Quran), and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled [according to the kind of deeds (for the doer of good deeds, his deeds will take him to Paradise, and similarly evil deeds will take their doers to Hell)].

Sahih International : And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.

Pickthall : They denied (the Truth) and followed their own lusts. Yet everything will come to a decision

Yusuf Ali : They reject (the warning) and follow their (own) lusts but every matter has its appointed time.

Shakir : And they call (it) a lie, and follow their low desires; and every affair has its appointed term.

Dr. Ghali : And they have cried lies and closely followed their prejudices; and every Command is settled.

Tafsir Jalalayn : And they denied, the Prophet (s), and followed their own desires, as regards [their] falsehood; and every matter, that is good or evil, will be settled, with that person [who is responsible for it], either [by his ending up] in Paradise or in the Fire.

Tagalog : Tinanggihan nila ang Propeta, at sinunod nila ang kanilang ligaw na landas at ang anumang iniudyok sa kanila ng kanilang sariling kagustuhan na pagtanggi, at lahat ng bagay mabuti man o masama ay matatamo ng gumawa nito sa Araw ng Muling Pagkabuhay sa paglantad ng gantimpala at kaparusahan.

54:4

Hassanor Alapa : Sabnar a miaoma siran a pd ko manga thotol a kadadalman sa nganin a iphrasng

Muhsin Khan : And indeed there has come to them news (in this Quran) wherein there is (enough warning) to check (them from evil),

Sahih International : And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence -

Pickthall : And surely there hath come unto them news whereof the purport should deter,

Yusuf Ali : There have already come to them Recitals wherein there is (enough) to check (them),

Shakir : And certainly some narratives have come to them wherein is prevention--

Dr. Ghali : And indeed there have already come to them such tidings wherein there is a scaring.

Tafsir Jalalayn : And verily there has come to them such tidings, stories about the destruction of communities which denied their messengers, as contain a deterrent, to them (muzdajar is a verbal noun, or a noun of place; the dāl [of muzdajar] replaces the tā’ of [the 8th form] ifta‘ala; one may say, izdajartuhu or zajartuhu, to mean ‘I forbade him sternly’; mā, ‘such as’, either indicates a relative clause, or it is qualified by an adjective);

Tagalog : At katiyakan, dumating sa mga walang pananampalataya na mga Quraysh ang mga kuwento ng mga naunang tao na di-naniwala sa kanilang mga Sugo at ang anuman na kanilang natamo na kaparusahan, na samakatuwid, sapat na ito upang sila ay pigilin sa di-paniniwala at pagkaligaw.

54:5

Hassanor Alapa : Ongangn a somsndad na da makanggay a gona (sii kiran) so manga sogo’ 1643

Muhsin Khan : Perfect wisdom (this Quran), but (the preaching of) warners benefit them not,

Sahih International : Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them].

Pickthall : Effective wisdom; but warnings avail not.

Yusuf Ali : Mature wisdom;- but (the preaching of) Warners profits them not.

Shakir : Consummate wisdom-- but warnings do not avail;

Dr. Ghali : A consummate Wisdom; yet in no way do warnings avail.

Tafsir Jalalayn : wisdom (hikmatun is the predicate of an omitted subject, or a substitution for mā, ‘such as’, or for muzdajar, ‘deterrent’) [that is] far-reaching, complete; but warnings (nudhur is the plural of nadhīr, functioning in the [agent] sense of mundhir, ‘a warner’, that is to say, ‘those matters which warn them’; mā is either for negation, or it is an interrogative of denial, in which case it stands as a preceding direct object) are of no avail, [warnings] are of no use with them.

Tagalog : Itong Qur’ân na dala sa kanila ay nagtataglay ng dakila at ganap na karunungan, kung gayon, ano pa bang bagay ang magiging pakinabang ng pagbababala sa mga taong tumanggi at di-naniwala?

54:6

Hassanor Alapa : Na talikhod inka siran sa sagawii a mananawag so phananawag sa nganin a piakalklk (a siksa)

Muhsin Khan : So (O Muhammad SAW) withdraw from them. The Day that the caller will call (them) to a terrible thing.

Sahih International : So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,

Pickthall : So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) on the day when the Summoner summoneth unto a painful thing.

Yusuf Ali : Therefore, (O Prophet,) turn away from them. The Day that the Caller will call (them) to a terrible affair,

Shakir : So turn (your) back on them (for) the day when the inviter shall invite them to a hard task,

Dr. Ghali : So turn away from them. On the Day when the Caller will call to a highly maleficent thing,

Tafsir Jalalayn : So turn away from them! (this is the import of the preceding statement and it completes what is being said). On the day when the Summoner, namely, Isrāfīl (yawma, ‘the day’, is rendered accusative by yakhrujūna, ‘they will emerge’, next [verse]), summons to an awful thing (read nukur or nukr, in the sense of munkar, ‘disagreeable’), [a thing] which the souls will find awful, and this is the Reckoning;

Tagalog : Na kung kaya, pabayaan mo na sila, O Muhammad, at abangan mo na sa kanila ang pagdating ng dakilang Araw. Na sa Araw na yaon ay mananawagan ang tagapagpanawagan tungo sa kagimbal-gimbal na bagay na ito ay ‘Yawmul Hisâb’ – Araw ng Pagbabayad.

54:7

Hassanor Alapa : A kaalkan so manga kailay ran a pphakaliyo siran phoon ko manga kobor a datar siran o manga tarapan a mabbmbar

Muhsin Khan : They will come forth, with humbled eyes from (their) graves as if they were locusts spread abroad,

Sahih International : Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,

Pickthall : With downcast eyes, they come forth from the graves as they were locusts spread abroad,

Yusuf Ali : They will come forth,- their eyes humbled - from (their) graves, (torpid) like locusts scattered abroad,

Shakir : Their eyes cast down, going forth from their graves as if they were scattered locusts,

Dr. Ghali : With most submissive be holdings, they will go out of the graves as if they were locusts spread abroad,

Tafsir Jalalayn : with their downcast (khāshi‘an: a variant reading has khushsha‘an), humiliated, looks (absāruhum is a circumstantial qualifier referring to the subject of the verb [yakhrujūna, ‘they will emerge’]) they, that is, mankind, will emerge from the graves as though they were scattered locusts, not knowing where to go, out of fear and perplexity (this sentence [ka’annahum jarādun muntashirun] is a circumstantial qualifier referring to the subject of [the verb] yakhrujūna, ‘they will emerge’, and so is His saying [muhti‘īna]),

Tagalog : Na abang-aba at mapanglaw ang kanilang mga paningin, na sila ay lumalabas mula sa kanilang mga libingan na may mabilis na pagkalat at paglakad tungo sa lugar ng pagbabayad na para silang mga tipaklong na kumakalat sa himpapawid,

54:8

Hassanor Alapa : Sa gii siran nggagaan ko (kapzong iran) ko pphananawag sa giitharoon o manga kafir a giai so gawii a mapitl

Muhsin Khan : Hastening towards the caller, the disbelievers will say: "This is a hard Day."

Sahih International : Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day."

Pickthall : Hastening toward the summoner; the disbelievers say: This is a hard day.

Yusuf Ali : Hastening, with eyes transfixed, towards the Caller!- "Hard is this Day!", the Unbelievers will say.

Shakir : Hastening to the inviter. The unbelievers shall say: This is a hard day.

Dr. Ghali : With their heads protruding, (hurrying) to the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day!"

Tafsir Jalalayn : scrambling, hastening with their necks stretched out, toward the Summoner. The disbelievers, among them, will say: ‘This is a hard day!’, a difficult one for disbelievers — as is stated in [sūrat] al-Muddaththir, a day of hardship for the disbelievers [Q. 74:9-10].

Tagalog : Na sila ay nagmamadaling tumungo sa lugar na kung saan sila ay tinatawag, na sasabihin ng mga walang pananampalataya: Ito ay kagimbal-gimbal na Araw na napakasidhi.

54:9

Hassanor Alapa : Miakambokhag ko onaan iran so pagtaw o Nūh sa piakam-bokhag iran so oripn Ami sa pitharo iran a 1644 pmbthangn ago rarasngn (ko kisampayin ko panolon)

Muhsin Khan : The people of Nuh (Noah) denied (their Messenger) before them, they rejected Our slave, and said: "A madman!" and he was insolently rebuked and threatened.

Sahih International : The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.

Pickthall : The folk of Noah denied before them, yea, they denied Our slave and said: A madman; and he was repulsed.

Yusuf Ali : Before them the People of Noah rejected (their messenger): they rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!", and he was driven out.

Shakir : Before them the people of Nuh rejected, so they rejected Our servant and called (him) mad, and he was driven away.

Dr. Ghali : The people of Nuh (Noah) cried lies before them; so they cried lies to Our bondman and said, "A madman, " and he was scared.

Tafsir Jalalayn : The people of Noah denied (kadhdhabat has feminine inflection on account of the import [referring to a feminine noun], qawm, ‘tribe’) before them, before Quraysh. Thus they denied Our servant, Noah, and said, ‘A madman!’, and he was reviled: they repulsed him with insults and in other ways.

Tagalog : Hindi naniwala noon ang sambayanan ni Nûh na nauna kaysa sa iyong sambayanan, O Muhammad, na tinanggihan nila ang Aming alipin na si Nûh, at kanilang sinabi: Siya ay nasisiraan ng bait, at tinanggihan nila na siya ay binalaan nila ng iba’t ibang pagpapahirap, kung hindi siya titigil sa kanyang pag-aanyaya.

54:10

Hassanor Alapa : Na miatawag iyan so Kadnan iyan (a Kadnan ko) kadadaoban ako (sa bagr) na panabang Ka

Muhsin Khan : Then he invoked his Lord (saying): "I have been overcome, so help (me)!"

Sahih International : So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help."

Pickthall : So he cried unto his Lord, saying: I am vanquished, so give help.

Yusuf Ali : Then he called on his Lord: "I am one overcome: do Thou then help (me)!"

Shakir : Therefore he called upon his Lord: I am overcome, come Thou then to help.

Dr. Ghali : So, he invoked his Lord, (saying), "I am overcome, so vindicate me!"

Tafsir Jalalayn : And so he invoked his Lord, [saying,] ‘I have been (annī, to be understood as bi-annī) overcome, so help [me]!’

Tagalog : Na kung kaya, nanalangin si Nûh sa Allâh na kanyang ‘Rabb’ na Tagapaglikha: Katiyakan, ako ay mahina sa pakikipaglaban sa kanila, na kung kaya, tulungan Mo ako sa pamamagitan ng pagpaparusa na mula sa Iyo dahil sa kanilang di-paniniwala sa akin.

54:11

Hassanor Alapa : Na likaan Ami so manga pinto o kawang sa ig a margs a pkhaanton 1645

Muhsin Khan : So We opened the gates of heaven with water pouring forth.

Sahih International : Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down

Pickthall : Then opened We the gates of heaven with pouring water

Yusuf Ali : So We opened the gates of heaven, with water pouring forth.

Shakir : So We opened the gates of the cloud with water pouring

Dr. Ghali : Then We opened the gates of the heaven to torrential water,

Tafsir Jalalayn : Then We opened (read fa-fatahnā or fa-fattahnā) the gates of the heaven with torrential waters, [waters] pouring down intensely,

Tagalog : Tinugunan Namin ang kanyang panalangin, at binuksan Namin ang mga pintuan ng kalangitan na bumuhos mula roon ang masaganang tubig (ulan) at pinagbibiyak Namin ang kalupaan na bumulwak mula roon ang iba’t ibang bukal,

54:12

Hassanor Alapa : Go binsad Ami so lopa a manga bowalan na mithmo so ig 1646 sa sogoan (btad) a miadianka dn

Muhsin Khan : And We caused the earth to gush forth with springs. So the waters (of the heaven and the earth) met for a matter predestined.

Sahih International : And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.

Pickthall : And caused the earth to gush forth springs, so that the waters met for a predestined purpose.

Yusuf Ali : And We caused the earth to gush forth with springs, so the waters met (and rose) to the extent decreed.

Shakir : And We made water to flow forth in the land in springs, so the water gathered together according to a measure already ordained.

Dr. Ghali : And We made the earth to erupt forth springs, so the waters met for a Command already estimated.

Tafsir Jalalayn : and We made the earth burst forth with springs, that flowed forth, and the waters, the waters of the heaven and the earth, met for a purpose, a circumstance, that was preordained, [a matter] which had been decreed since pre-eternity, namely, their destruction by drowning.

Tagalog : Na kung kaya, nagpang-abot ang tubig ng kalangitan at ang tubig ng kalupaan upang sila ay puksain sa pamamagitan ng itinakda ng Allâh sa kanila na parusa; bilang pagtumbas sa kanilang ginawang pagsamba ng iba bukod sa Allâh

54:13

Hassanor Alapa : Na tianggong Ami skaniyan sa (padaw) a adn a manga papan iyan ago manga pansar 1647 iyan (a datar o manga totok).

Muhsin Khan : And We carried him on a (ship) made of planks and nails,

Sahih International : And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails,

Pickthall : And We carried him upon a thing of planks and nails,

Yusuf Ali : But We bore him on an (Ark) made of broad planks and caulked with palm-fibre:

Shakir : And We bore him on that which was made of planks and nails

Dr. Ghali : And We carried him upon (an Ark), well planked and well caulked, (Literally: comprising planks and caulks, with nails)

Tafsir Jalalayn : And We bore him, that is, Noah, on one, a ship, [made] of planks and nails (dusur is what boards are fastened down with of nails and the like; the singular is disār, similar [in pattern] to [kutub] kitāb, ‘book’),

Tagalog : At dinala Namin si Nûh at ang sinumang sumama sa kanya sa sasakyang pantubig na pinagtagpi-tagpi na mga maninipis na pinagpuputol na kahoy sa pamamagitan ng pagpapapako sa mga ito,

54:14

Hassanor Alapa : Sa phladlad sa nggolalan sa siap Ami a balas a rk o taw a miaadn a sianka (o pagtaw niyan)

Muhsin Khan : Floating under Our Eyes, a reward for him who had been rejected!

Sahih International : Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied.

Pickthall : That ran (upon the waters) in Our sight, as a reward for him who was rejected.

Yusuf Ali : She floats under our eyes (and care): a recompense to one who had been rejected (with scorn)!

Shakir : Sailing, before Our eyes, a reward for him who was denied.

Dr. Ghali : Running under Our Eyes, a recompense for him who was disbelieved. (i.e., between the she-camel and them)

Tafsir Jalalayn : sailing before Our eyes, that is, in Our sights, in other words, [it was being] protected, as retaliation (jazā’an is in the accusative because of the implied verbal clause, that is to say, ‘they were drowned by way of revenge’) for [the sake of] him who was rejected, namely, Noah, peace be upon him (a variant reading [for passive kufira] has kafara, ‘him who disbelieved’, in other words, they were drowned as a punishment for them).

Tagalog : Na ito ay lumalayag sa pamamagitan ng Aming pagmamasid at pangangalaga, at nilunod Namin ang mga walang pananampalataya; bilang kabayaran sa kanila sa di nila paniniwala at bilang pagtulong kay Nûh. Narito sa talatang ito ang katibayan sa katangian ng Allâh bilang nagtataglay ng dalawang Mata na ayon sa Kanyang Kamaharlikaan.

54:15

Hassanor Alapa : Go sabnar a inibagak Ami skaniyan a tanda na ba adn (a taw) a pd sa phananadm

Muhsin Khan : And indeed, We have left this as a sign, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?

Sahih International : And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember?

Pickthall : And verily We left it as a token; but is there any that remembereth?

Yusuf Ali : And We have left this as a Sign (for all time): then is there any that will receive admonition?

Shakir : And certainly We left it as a sign, but is there anyone who

Dr. Ghali : And indeed We have already left it for a sign. Is there then any that will recollect?

Tafsir Jalalayn : And verily We left it, We preserved this [deed], as a sign, for whomever might be admonished by it, in other words, the news of this [deed] became widely-known and endured. So is there anyone who will remember?, [anyone who] will take heed from, or be admonished by, it? (muddakir is actually mudhtakir, but the tā’ has been replaced with a dāl, likewise the dhāl, and it [the dāl] has been assimilated with it [the other dāl]).

Tagalog : At katiyakan, pinanatili Namin ang kuwento hinggil kay Nûh at sa kanyang sambayanan bilang aral at katibayan na nagpapatunay sa Aming kapangyarihan sa sinumang darating pa pagkatapos ni Nûh; upang maging aral ito sa kanila at pagpapayo sa anumang nangyari sa mga sambayanan na hindi naniwala sa Allâh na kanilang ‘Rabb’ na Tagapaglikha, kung gayon, mayroon bang tatanggap ng paalaala o aral hinggil dito?

54:16

Hassanor Alapa : Andamanaya dn i kiaadn o siksa Akn ago so lalangan Akn

Muhsin Khan : Then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?

Sahih International : And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

Pickthall : Then see how (dreadful) was My punishment after My warnings!

Yusuf Ali : But how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning?

Shakir : How (great) was then My punishment and My warning!

Dr. Ghali : How then were My torment and My warnings?

Tafsir Jalalayn : How [dreadful] then were My chastisement and My warnings? (this is an interrogative meant as an affirmative; kayfa, ‘how’, is the predicate of kāna, ‘was’, and it is here being used to inquire about a ‘state’; the intention is to prompt those who are being addressed to affirm the fact that God’s chastisement of those who denied Noah was fully deserved).

Tagalog : Samakatuwid, gaano kasidhi ang Aking parusa at Aking babala sa sinumang hindi naniwala sa Akin at tinanggihan ang Aking mga Sugo, at hindi naging aral sa kanya ang anumang dala-dalang mensahe ng mga Propeta?

54:17

Hassanor Alapa : Go sabnar a libod Ami so Qur’an ko kiphananadmn on na ino ba adn (a taw) a pd sa phananadm

Muhsin Khan : And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?

Sahih International : And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

Pickthall : And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth?

Yusuf Ali : And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?

Shakir : And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind?

Dr. Ghali : And indeed We have already made the Qur'an easy for remembrance. Is there then any that will recollect?

Tafsir Jalalayn : And verily We have made the Qur’ān easy to remember, We have facilitated its memorisation and disposed it to serve as a [source of] remembrance. So is there anyone who remember?, [anyone who] will be admonished by it and memorise it? (the interrogative here is intended as an imperative: in other words, memorise it and be admonished by it; none of God’s scriptures is memorised by heart other than it [the Qur’ān]).

Tagalog : At katiyakan, ginawa Naming madali ang salita ng Banal na Qur’ân upang madaling basahin at maisaulo ito, at ganoon din ang mga kahulugan nito upang madaling maintindihan at unawain, sa sinumang nagnanais na makaalaala at pag-aralan, kaya mayroon bang nais na mapaalalahanan nito?

54:18

Hassanor Alapa : Miakambokhag so Ād na andamanaya i kiaadn o siksa Akn ago so lalangan Akn

Muhsin Khan : 'Ad (people) belied (their Prophet, Hud), then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?

Sahih International : 'Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

Pickthall : (The tribe of) A'ad rejected warnings. Then how (dreadful) was My punishment after My warnings.

Yusuf Ali : The 'Ad (people) (too) rejected (Truth): then how terrible was My Penalty and My Warning?

Shakir : Ad treated (the truth) as a lie, so how (great) was My punishment and My warning!

Dr. Ghali : Aad cried lies. How then were My torment and My warnings?

Tafsir Jalalayn : ‘Ād denied, their prophet Hūd and so they were chastised. How then were My chastisement and My warnings?, [how then was] My warning them of the chastisement before it was sent down? In other words, it was justified, and He explains this [chastisement] by saying:

Tagalog : Hindi Kami pinaniwalaan ng sambayanan nina `Âd at Hûd, na kung kaya, pinarusahan Namin sila, samakatuwid, dapat na mabatid kung gaano katindi ang parusa Namin sa kanila dahil sa di nila paniniwala, at ang Aking babala sa sinumang tumanggi sa mga Sugo na ipinadala sa kanila at hindi sila pinaniwalaan. 19. Katiyakan, Kami ay nagpadala sa kanila ng malakas na hangin na napakalamig na marahas ang ugong at lakas nito, sa araw na matindi ang kalamidad at kawalang pag-asa na patuloy na kaparusahan at pagkawasak,

54:19

Hassanor Alapa : Sabnar a siogoan Ami siran sa ndo’ a mabasng i kabisa sa sagawii a naas a tatap

Muhsin Khan : Verily, We sent against them a furious wind of harsh voice on a day of evil omen and continuous calamity.

Sahih International : Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,

Pickthall : Lo! We let loose on them a raging wind on a day of constant calamity,

Yusuf Ali : For We sent against them a furious wind, on a Day of violent Disaster,

Shakir : Surely We sent on them a tornado in a day of bitter ill-luck

Dr. Ghali : Surely We sent against them a most clamorous wind in a day of ill-luck, continuous,

Tafsir Jalalayn : Indeed We unleashed upon them a clamorous wind, intensely noisy, on a day of prolonged ill fortune, (nahsin mustamirr means) either one of continuous ill fortune, or one of severe ill fortune — and this was the last Wednesday of the month —

Tagalog : Katiyakan, Kami ay nagpadala sa kanila ng malakas na hangin na napakalamig na marahas ang ugong at lakas nito, sa araw na matindi ang kalamidad at kawalang pag-asa na patuloy na kaparusahan at pagkawasak,

54:20

Hassanor Alapa : Sa phagaratn iyan so manga taw sa datar siran o manga kayo a korma a khikaaarat

Muhsin Khan : Plucking out men as if they were uprooted stems of date-palms.

Sahih International : Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.

Pickthall : Sweeping men away as though they were uprooted trunks of palm-trees.

Yusuf Ali : Plucking out men as if they were roots of palm-trees torn up (from the ground).

Shakir : Tearing men away as if they were the trunks of palm-trees torn up.

Dr. Ghali : Plucking up mankind as if they were the stumps of uprooted palm-trees.

Tafsir Jalalayn : tearing people away, wrenching them from the holes in the ground in which they had been embedded and flinging them down [to the ground] head first, thereby crushing their necks and severing [their] heads from [their] bodies, as if they were, [while lying] in this mentioned state, trunks of uprooted palm-trees, severed and thrown on the ground — they are likened to palm-trees because of their tallness (nakhlun, ‘palm-trees’, is masculine here but feminine in [sūrat] al-Hāqqa, nakhlun khāwiya, ‘fallen down [or hollow] palm-trees’, [Q. 69:7], in order to harmonise with the end-rhyme of the verses in both instances).

Tagalog : Na tinatangay nito ang mga tao mula sa kanilang mga kinaroroonan at itinatapon sila na pasubsob ang kanilang mga mukha na naging sanhi ng pagkakabaon ng kanilang ulo sa kalupaan at nahihiwalay ang kanilang mga ulo sa katawan na naiiwanan ito na nakabaon sa loob ng kalupaan na tulad ng mga puno ng palmeras na natatanggal ang mga puno nito mula sa pinagbunutan.

54:21

Hassanor Alapa : Na andamanaya i kiaadn o siksa Akn ago so lalangan Akn

Muhsin Khan : Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?

Sahih International : And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

Pickthall : Then see how (dreadful) was My punishment after My warnings!

Yusuf Ali : Yea, how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning!

Shakir : How (great) was then My punishment and My warning!

Dr. Ghali : How then were My torment and My warnings?

Tafsir Jalalayn : How then were My chastisement and My warnings?

Yusuf Ali : But We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?

Dr. Ghali : And indeed We have already made the Qur'an easy for remembrance. Is there then any that will recollect?

54:23

Hassanor Alapa : Piakambokhag o Thamūd so manga sogo’ (lalangan) 1649

Muhsin Khan : Thamud (people also) belied the warnings.

Sahih International : Thamud denied the warning

Pickthall : (The tribe of) Thamud rejected warnings

Yusuf Ali : The Thamud (also) rejected (their) Warners.

Shakir : Samood rejected the warning.

Dr. Ghali : Thamud cried lies to the warnings.

Tafsir Jalalayn : Thamūd denied the warnings (nudhur is the plural of nadhīr, with the sense of mundhir), that is to say, [they denied] those matters which their prophet Sālih warned them of if they refused to believe in him and to follow him,

Tagalog : Tinanggihan ni Thamoud – na sila ang mga sambayanan ni Sâleh – ang mga palatandaan bilang babala sa kanila,

54:24

Hassanor Alapa : Sa pitharo iran a ba sa mama a sakataw a pd rkitano na pagonotan tano skaniyan mataan a o maolawla nan na dalm tano sa kadadag ago kabthang

Muhsin Khan : For they said: "A man! Alone from among us, that we are to follow? Truly, then we should be in error and distress or madness!"

Sahih International : And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness.

Pickthall : For they said; Is it a mortal man, alone among us, that we are to follow? Then indeed we should fall into error and madness.

Yusuf Ali : For they said: "What! a man! a Solitary one from among ourselves! shall we follow such a one? Truly should we then be straying in mind, and mad!

Shakir : So they said: What! a single mortal from among us! Shall we follow him? Most surely we shall in that case be in sure error and distress:

Dr. Ghali : So they said, "Should we closely follow a mortal, one out of ourselves? Lo, surely we are indeed in error and insanity!

Tafsir Jalalayn : and they said, ‘Is it a mortal (basharan is in the accusative because it is governed [by a succeeding verb]) alone among us (minnā wāhidan are both adjectives of basharan) that we are to follow? (nattabi‘uhu, this explains the verb which renders it [basharan, ‘mortal’] accusative; the interrogative is meant as a negative, in other words: why should we follow him when there are many of us and he is only one among us and not a king? That is to say, we will not follow him). Then indeed, if we were to follow him, we would be in error, a parting with reason, and insanity!

Tagalog : At kanilang sinabi: Isang tao lamang ba ang aming susundin na mula sa amin na maraming grupo at siya ay nag-iisa lamang? Katiyakan, kung gayon, kami ay nasa pagkaligaw at kasiraan ng bait.

54:25

Hassanor Alapa : Ba on initmo so pananadm ko ltlt tano ogaid na skaniyan na bokhag a takabor

Muhsin Khan : "Is it that the Reminder is sent to him [Prophet Salih (Saleh) ] alone from among us? Nay, he is an insolent liar!"

Sahih International : Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."

Pickthall : Hath the remembrance been given unto him alone among us? Nay, but he is a rash liar.

Yusuf Ali : "Is it that the Message is sent to him, of all people amongst us? Nay, he is a liar, an insolent one!"

Shakir : Has the reminder been made to light upon him from among us? Nay! he is an insolent liar!

Dr. Ghali : Has the Remembrance been cast upon him (alone) from among us? No indeed, (but) he is an insolent liar."

Tafsir Jalalayn : Has the Reminder, the revelation, been cast (read a-ulqiya pronouncing both hamzas, or by not pronouncing the second one but in both cases inserting an intervening alif, or leaving this [insertion] out) upon him [alone] from among us?, in other words, nothing has been revealed to him. Nay, but he is a conceited, an arrogant and insolent, liar, in his saying that the mentioned has been revealed to him. God, exalted be He, says:

Tagalog : Ipinahayag ba sa kanya ang rebelasyon at bukod-tangi siyang pinili sa pagiging Propeta mula sa amin, at siya ay kabilang sa amin? Hindi gayon kundi siya ay sinungaling na mapagmataas.

54:26

Hassanor Alapa : Katokawan iran dn mapita o antaa i taw a lbi a bokhag a takabor.

Muhsin Khan : Tomorrow they will come to know, who is the liar, the insolent one!

Sahih International : They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar.

Pickthall : (Unto their warner it was said): To-morrow they will know who is the rash liar.

Yusuf Ali : Ah! they will know on the morrow, which is the liar, the insolent one!

Shakir : Tomorrow shall they know who is the liar, the insolent one.

Dr. Ghali : They will (soon) know tomorrow who is the insolent liar.

Tafsir Jalalayn : ‘They will know tomorrow, in the Hereafter, who is the conceited liar, and it is them, for they will be chastised for having denied their prophet Sālih.

Tagalog : Katiyakan, makikita nila kapag dumating na ang kaparusahan sa kanila rito sa daigdig at sa Kabilang-Buhay, kung sino ang sinungaling at mapagmataas.

54:27

Hassanor Alapa : Mataan a Skami na iphakawit Ami so babay a onta 1650 a tioba kiran na nayaw ka ago zabar ka

Muhsin Khan : Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them [O Salih (Saleh) ], and be patient!

Sahih International : Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient.

Pickthall : Lo! We are sending the she-camel as a test for them; so watch them and have patience;

Yusuf Ali : For We will send the she-camel by way of trial for them. So watch them, (O Salih), and possess thyself in patience!

Shakir : Surely We are going to send the she-camel as a trial for them; therefore watch them and have patience.

Dr. Ghali : Surely We are sending the she-camel as a temptation for them; so be on the watch for them and constantly (endure) patiently.

Tafsir Jalalayn : Lo! We are sending the She-camel, We will bring it forth out of the mountain, the rock, as they demanded, as a trial, a test, for them, that We may try them. So watch them, O Sālih, await [to see] what they will do and what will be done with them, and remain patient (istabir: the tā’ here has replaced the tā’ of [the 8th form] ifta‘ala), in other words, endure their harm.

Tagalog : Walang pag-aalinlangang palalabasin Namin ang kamelyong-babae na kanilang hiniling na magmumula sa isang malaking bato; bilang pagsubok sa kanila, na kung kaya, tingnan mo, O Sâleh, ang mangyayari sa kanilang kaparusahan, at magtiis ka sa pag-aanyaya sa kanila at sa kanilang mga pamiminsala.

54:28

Hassanor Alapa : Go panothol anka kiran a so pakaig na babagiin kiran (so masa a kapphamakaig on) sa oman i kipantag ko kainom na imamasa ko oman i )alang iran)

Muhsin Khan : And inform them that the water is to be shared between (her and) them. Each one's right to drink being established (by turns).

Sahih International : And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn].

Pickthall : And inform them that the water is to be shared between (her and) them. Every drinking will be witnessed.

Yusuf Ali : And tell them that the water is to be divided between them: Each one's right to drink being brought forward (by suitable turns).

Shakir : And inform them that the water is shared between them; every share of the water shall be regulated.

Dr. Ghali : And fully inform them that the water is to a (fair) division between them; (i.e., between the she-camel and them) each drinking is for each presented in turn.

Tafsir Jalalayn : And inform them that the water is to be divided between them, and the She-camel: one day for them and the next for it, every drinking, [every] portion of water, will be attended’, by the people [drawing water] on their [designated] day, and by the She-camel on its day. They adhered to this [regime] but eventually became impatient with it and decided to slaughter the She-camel.

Tagalog : At iparating mo sa kanila, na ang tubig (sa balon) ay hahatiin sa pagitan ng iyong sambayanan at ng babaeng-kamelyo: isang araw para sa babaeng-kamelyo at ang isang araw naman ay para sa kanila, ang bawa’t isa ay may karapatang uminom o kumuha ng tubig ayon sa kung ano ang itinakdang araw para sa kanya na pagkuha (o pagsalok), at pagbabawalan ang sinumang kukuha ng karapatan ng iba (sa pamamagitan ng pagsalok na hindi ayon sa itinakdang araw para sa kanya).

54:29

Hassanor Alapa : Na tiawag iran so pd iran na binindas iyan so pdang iyan sa siombali iyan so (onta)

Muhsin Khan : But they called their comrade and he took (a sword) and killed (her).

Sahih International : But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her].

Pickthall : But they call their comrade and he took and hamstrung (her).

Yusuf Ali : But they called to their companion, and he took a sword in hand, and hamstrung (her).

Shakir : But they called their companion, so he took (the sword) and slew (her).

Dr. Ghali : Then they called out their companion, so he took upon himself (the task); then he hamstrung her.

Tafsir Jalalayn : But they called their companion, Qudār, to slay it, so he took, he drew his sword, and he hamstrung, with it the She-camel, in other words, he slew her in compliance with their wish.

Tagalog : At tinawag nila ang isa sa kasama nila upang utusan na saksakin ang kamelyo, kaya kinuha niya ang kamelyo at pagkatapos ay sinaksak niya, na kung kaya, pinarusahan Ko sila.

54:30

Tagalog : Kung gayon, gaano katindi ang Aking kaparusahan sa kanila dahil sa kanilang di- paniniwala, at ang Aking babala sa sinumang lalabag at tatanggi sa Aking mga Sugo?

54:31

Hassanor Alapa : Mataan a siogoan Ami siran sa sowara a satiman na miaadn siran a datar o mikakayambr a raon a kayo o taw a komikibir ko kodal (o binatang)

Muhsin Khan : Verily, We sent against them a single Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.), and they became like the dry stubble of a fold-builder.

Sahih International : Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen.

Pickthall : Lo! We sent upon them one Shout, and they became as the dry twigs (rejected by) the builder of a cattle-fold.

Yusuf Ali : For We sent against them a single Mighty Blast, and they became like the dry stubble used by one who pens cattle.

Shakir : Surely We sent upon them a single cry, so they were like the dry fragments of trees which the maker of an enclosure collects.

Dr. Ghali : Surely We sent against them one Shout; so they were as the chaff of a pen-builder.

Tafsir Jalalayn : Indeed We unleashed upon them a single Cry, and they became like the chaff of a corral builder (al-muhtazir is one who makes a pen from dried tree-branches and thorns for his sheep, to protect them from wolves and beasts of prey; the fallen parts which they tread are called hashīm).

Tagalog : Katiyakan, ipinadala Namin sa kanila si Jibril, at sumigaw sa kanila ng isang sigaw at kaagad na namatay silang lahat hanggang sa kahuli-hulihan sa kanila, na kung kaya, sila ay parang naging tuyong pananim na inihanda para ipakain sa kamelyo at iba pang mga hayop.

54:32

Hassanor Alapa : Sabnar a libod Ami so Qur’ān ko kiphananadmn on, na ba adn a pd sa phananadm

Muhsin Khan : The people of Lout (Lot) belied the warnings.

Sahih International : The people of Lot denied the warning.

Pickthall : The folk of Lot rejected warnings.

Yusuf Ali : The people of Lut rejected (his) warning.

Shakir : The people of Lut treated the warning. as a lie.

Dr. Ghali : The people of Lut (Lot) cried lies to the warnings.

Tafsir Jalalayn : The people of Lot denied the warnings, [they denied] those issues of which they were warned by his [Lot’s] tongue.

Tagalog : Pinasinungalingan ng sambayanan ni Lût ang mga palatandaan ng Allâh na ipinadala bilang babala sa kanila.

54:34

Hassanor Alapa : Na mataan a siogoan Ami siran sa sobosobo a ator, inonta bo so pamiliya o Lūt a siabt Ami siran ko kapkhalibabas o kagagawii.

Muhsin Khan : Verily, We sent against them a violent storm of stones (which destroyed them all), except the family of Lout (Lot), whom We saved in last hour of the night,

Sahih International : Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn

Pickthall : Lo! We sent a storm of stones upon them (all) save the family of Lot, whom We rescued in the last watch of the night,

Yusuf Ali : We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: them We delivered by early Dawn,-

Shakir : Surely We sent upon them a stonestorm, except Lut's followers; We saved them a little before daybreak,

Dr. Ghali : Surely We sent against them a (squall of) gravel, except the house of Lut; (LOt) We safely delivered them before dawn,

Tafsir Jalalayn : Indeed We unleashed upon them a squall of pebbles, a wind hurling at them pebbles, namely, small stones, a single one [of these] being no larger than the palm of the hand, and they were destroyed; [all] except the family of Lot, namely, his two daughters, together with him, whom We delivered at dawn, from among the dawns, the morning time of an unspecified day (had a specific day been meant [for that mentioned dawn], it [sahar] would have been treated as a diptote [instead of the declined form saharin], being a definite noun derived from al-sahar, for with definite nouns one ought to use [the preceding definite article] al). So was the squall unleashed at first with the family of Lot [still there]? There are two opinions regarding this: in the case of the former [that it was unleashed upon them including the family of Lot] the exception is understood as a continuous one, while in the case of the latter [opinion that they were delivered before the squall] the exception is understood as a discontinuous one, even if it [‘the family of Lot’] is actually subsumed by the collective noun [‘the people of Lot’, and so they were delivered] as a kindness [from God];

Tagalog : At katiyakan, nagpadala Kami sa kanila ng mga luwad na bato bilang parusa maliban sa pamilya ni Lût, dahil niligtas Namin sila mula sa parusa sa dulo ng gabi bilang biyaya na mula sa Amin para sa kanila,

54:35

Hassanor Alapa : A limo a phoon Rkami, sa datar oto a mbalasan Ami so taw a mianalamat

Muhsin Khan : As a Favour from Us, thus do We reward him who gives thanks (by obeying Us).

Sahih International : As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful.

Pickthall : As grace from Us. Thus We reward him who giveth thanks.

Yusuf Ali : As a Grace from Us: thus do We reward those who give thanks.

Shakir : A favor from Us; thus do We reward him who gives thanks.

Dr. Ghali : A favor from Our Providence; thus We recompense him who thanks (Us).

Tafsir Jalalayn : as a grace (ni‘matan is a verbal noun, that is to say in‘āman, ‘an act of grace’) from Us. So, like that requital, do We requite him who gives thanks, for Our graces and is a believer, or [it means] him who is a believer in God and His messenger and is obedient to both.

Tagalog : Kung paano Namin ginantimpalaan si Lût at ang kanyang pamilya at biniyayaan, na sila ay iniligtas Namin mula sa Aming kaparusahan ay ganoon din Namin gagantimpalaan ang sinumang naniwala at nagpasalamat sa Amin.

54:36

Hassanor Alapa : Sabnar a inilalang iyan kiran so siksa Ami na piakambokhag iran so manga lalangan

Muhsin Khan : And he [Lout (Lot)] indeed had warned them of Our Grasp, but they did doubt the warnings!

Sahih International : And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning.

Pickthall : And he indeed had warned them of Our blow, but they did doubt the warnings.

Yusuf Ali : And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning.

Shakir : And certainly he warned them of Our violent seizure, but they obstinately disputed the warning.

Dr. Ghali : And indeed he had warned them of Our assault, yet they wrangled about the warnings.

Tafsir Jalalayn : And verily he had warned them, Lot had threatened them, of Our strike, Our seizing them with chastisement, but they disputed, they contested and denied, the warnings, his warning.

Tagalog : At katiyakan, binalaan ang kanyang sambayanan sa galit at parusa ng Allâh, subali’t hindi sila nakinig sa kanya, sa halip sila ay nag-alinlangan at hindi ito pinaniwalaan.

54:37

Hassanor Alapa : Sabnar a piangni ran on sa kibgan iyan ko manga bisita niyan na pionas Ami so manga kailay ran sa tintimi niyo so siksa Akn ago so lalangan Akn

Muhsin Khan : And they indeed sought to shame his guest (by asking to commit sodomy with them). So We blinded their eyes, "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings."

Sahih International : And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning."

Pickthall : They even asked of him his guests for an ill purpose. Then We blinded their eyes (and said): Taste now My punishment after My warnings!

Yusuf Ali : And they even sought to snatch away his guests from him, but We blinded their eyes. (They heard:) "Now taste ye My Wrath and My Warning."

Shakir : And certainly they endeavored to turn him from his guests, but We blinded their eyes; so taste My chastisement and My warning.

Dr. Ghali : And indeed they already solicited of him his guests, so We obliterated their eyes, (saying), "So taste My torment and My warnings!"

Tafsir Jalalayn : And they had even solicited of him his guests, that he should let them have their own way with those who had come to him as guests, that they may do wicked things with them — and these [guests] were angels. So We blotted out their eyes, We blinded them and made them without slits [so that they were continuous folds of skin] like the rest of the face, by having Gabriel smack them with his wing. ‘So taste [now], so We said to them: taste, My chastisement and My warnings’, that is to say, [taste] the effects and the substance of My warning and My threat.

Tagalog : At katiyakan, hiningi nila sa kanya na gawin ang kahalayan sa kanyang panauhin na mga anghel, subali’t binulag Namin ang kanilang mga paningin kaya wala silang anumang nakita, kung gayon, lasapin ninyo ang Aking parusa at ang Aking babala na ibinabala sa inyo ni Lût.

54:39

Hassanor Alapa : Sa tintimi niyo so siksa Akn ago so lalangan Akn

Muhsin Khan : "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings."

Sahih International : So taste My punishment and warning.

Pickthall : Now taste My punishment after My warnings!

Yusuf Ali : "Sotaste ye My Wrath and My Warning."

Shakir : So taste My chastisement and My warning.

Dr. Ghali : "So taste My torment and My warnings!"

Tafsir Jalalayn : ‘So taste [now] My chastisement and My warnings!’

Tagalog : Kung kaya, lasapin ninyo ang Aking parusa na ibinabala Ko sa inyo; dahil sa inyong di-paniniwala at pagtanggi, at ang Aking babala na ibinabala sa inyo ni Lût.

54:40

Hassanor Alapa : Go sabnar a libod Ami so Qur’ān ko kiphananadmn on, na ba adn a phananadm

Muhsin Khan : And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?

Sahih International : And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

Pickthall : And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth?

Yusuf Ali : And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?

Shakir : And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind?

Dr. Ghali : And indeed We have already made the Qur'an easy for remembrance. Is there then any that will recollect?

Tafsir Jalalayn : And verily We have made the Qur’ān easy to remember. So is there anyone who will remember?

Tagalog : At katiyakang ginawa Naming madali ang salita ng Banal na Qur’ân para sa pagbibigkas at pagsasaulo nito, at ang kahulugan nito upang maintindihan at suriin ng sinumang nagnanais ng paalaala, kung gayon, mayroon bang nagnanais na paalaala?

54:41

Hassanor Alapa : Go sabnar a miaoma so manga pagtaw o Fir’aun o manga sogo’ (odi na lalangan)

Muhsin Khan : And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)].

Sahih International : And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning.

Pickthall : And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh

Yusuf Ali : To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah).

Shakir : And certainly the warning came to Firon's people.

Dr. Ghali : And indeed the warnings already came (also) to the house of Firaawn; (Pharaoh)

Tafsir Jalalayn : And verily there came to Pharaoh’s folk, his people, together with him, the warnings, the warning by the tongue of Moses and Aaron, but they did not believe.

Tagalog : At katiyakan, dumating sa mga tagasunod ni Fir`âwn at sa kanyang sambayanan ang Aming babala na parusa sa kanila dahil sa kanilang di-paniniwala.

54:42

Hassanor Alapa : Na piakambokhag iran so manga tanda Ami langon na sininggawt Ami siran sa kasinggawt a mabagr a gomagaos

Muhsin Khan : (They) belied all Our Signs, so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, All-Capable to carry out what he Will (Omnipotent).

Sahih International : They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability.

Pickthall : Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful.

Yusuf Ali : The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will.

Shakir : They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One.

Dr. Ghali : They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We took them (away) with the taking of an Ever-Mighty, Supreme Determiner.

Tafsir Jalalayn : Rather: They denied Our signs, all, nine, of them, which were given to Moses. So We seized them, by way of chastisement, with the seizing of One [Who is] Mighty, Strong, Omnipotent, Powerful, Whom nothing can thwart.

Tagalog : Tinanggihan nila ang lahat ng Aming palatandaan na nagpapatunay sa Kaisahan ng Allâh at pagiging Propeta ng Aming mga ipinadala, na kung kaya, pinarusahan Namin sila ng parusang makapangyarihan na hindi nagagapi, na itinakda sa sinuman na Kanyang nais na parusahan.

54:43

Hassanor Alapa : Ba so manga kafir rkano na mapia a di giankai rkano, antaa ka ba adn a rk iyo a kapakaaangias (a misosorat) ko manga kitāb a miaona

Muhsin Khan : Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed)? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures?

Sahih International : Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture?

Pickthall : Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures?

Yusuf Ali : Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books?

Shakir : Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures?

Dr. Ghali : Are your steadfast disbelievers more charitable (3) than those ones? Or even do you have an acquittal (from torment) in the Zubur? (i.e., better)

Tafsir Jalalayn : Are your disbelievers, O Quraysh, better than those?, mentioned [beginning] from the people of Noah to those of Pharaoh, which is why they have not been chastised? Or have you, O disbelievers of Quraysh, [been granted] some immunity, from chastisement, in the Scriptures?, the Books? (the interrogative in both instances is meant as a denial, in other words: it is not so).

Tagalog : Ang mga walang pananampalataya ba mula sa inyo, O kayong mga Quraysh, ay mas nakahihigit kaysa sa mga nabanggit na mga tao na nauna sa inyo, na sila ay pinuksa dahil sa kanilang di-paniniwala? O di kaya ay mayroon ba kayong patunay o katibayan na naitala sa mga Banal na Aklat na ipinahayag sa mga Propeta na kayo ay ligtas mula sa kaparusahan ng Allâh?

54:44

Hassanor Alapa : Antaa ka ba iran giitharoa a skami na lompokan a phanaban (a di ndaagn)

Muhsin Khan : Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?"

Sahih International : Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"?

Pickthall : Or say they: We are a host victorious?

Yusuf Ali : Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"?

Shakir : Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other?

Dr. Ghali : Or do they say, "We, all together, will vindicate ourselves."

Tafsir Jalalayn : Or do they, the disbelievers of Quraysh, say: ‘We are a host that will be helped to victory’?, against Muhammad (s)? When Abū Jahl, on the day of Badr, said: ‘We are a host that will be helped to victory’, the following was revealed:

Tagalog : O kanila bang sinasabi na mga hindi naniwala (na taga-Makkah) mula sa Makkah: Kami ay marami sa bilang, mga matatatag at matatalino na nagkakaisa, at kami ay grupo na mapagwagi at hindi kami magagapi ng sinumang nagnanais sa amin na gumawa ng kasamaan.

54:45

Hassanor Alapa : Matatankd a ndaagn so lompokan ago khitalikhod iran so manga likod iran (sa palagoy) 1653

Muhsin Khan : Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs.

Sahih International : [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat].

Pickthall : The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee.

Yusuf Ali : Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs.

Shakir : Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs.

Dr. Ghali : Soon the gathering will be routed and (they) will turn their backs.

Tafsir Jalalayn : The host will [truly] be routed and turn its back [to flee], and so they were defeated at Badr and God’s Messenger (s) was granted victory over them.

Tagalog : Walang pag-aalinlangan, magagapi ang grupo ng mga walang pananampalataya sa Makkah sa kanilang pakikipaglaban sa mga mananampalataya, at sila ay tatakas sa labanan, at katiyakang ito ay naganap sa araw ng Badr.

54:46

Hassanor Alapa : Ogaid na so bankit na aya kiran talagad a so bankit na lbi a makalawlaw a lbi mapait

Muhsin Khan : Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter.

Sahih International : But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter.

Pickthall : Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure).

Yusuf Ali : Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter.

Shakir : Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter.

Dr. Ghali : No indeed, (but) the Hour is their appointment, and the Hour is more calamitous and more bitter.

Tafsir Jalalayn : Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, for chastisement, and the Hour, that is, the chastisement thereat, will be more calamitous, greater in affliction, and more bitter, than the chastisement of this world.

Tagalog : Hindi ang kanilang inaakala ang siyang katotohanan kundi ang Oras ng pagkagunaw ng daigdig ang itinakdang araw para sa kanila upang sila ay pagbayarin ng karapat-dapat na kabayaran para sa kanila, at ang oras na yaon ay higit na masidhi kaysa sa nangyari sa kanilang kaparusahan sa araw ng Badr.

54:47

Hassanor Alapa : Mataan a so manga baradosa na madadalm siran sa kadadag ago kazasanka sa sagomparak so panarima iran

Muhsin Khan : Verily, the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter).

Sahih International : Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness.

Pickthall : Lo! the guilty are in error and madness.

Yusuf Ali : Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad.

Shakir : Surely the guilty are in error and distress.

Dr. Ghali : Surely the criminals are in error and insanity!

Tafsir Jalalayn : Indeed the guilty are in error, in the destruction of being killed in this world, and in a blazing fire, a fire that has been set ablaze (musa‘‘ara), that is, fiercely ignited in the Hereafter.

Tagalog : Katiyakan, ang mga masasama ay nasa pagkaligaw mula sa katotohanan, at paghihirap at kaparusahan.

54:48

Hassanor Alapa : Sa sagawii a toyokn siran ko Naraka ko manga paras iran (sa tharoon kiran a) tintimi niyo so siksa o Naraka a Saqar

Muhsin Khan : The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!"

Sahih International : The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar."

Pickthall : On the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto them): Feel the touch of hell.

Yusuf Ali : The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!"

Shakir : On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell.

Dr. Ghali : The Day (when) they are pulled into the Fire on their faces, (It will be said), "Taste (now) the touch of Saqar!" (The Scorching Fire)

Tafsir Jalalayn : The day when they are dragged into the Fire on their faces, in the Hereafter and it is said to them: ‘Taste [now] the touch of Saqar’, Hell’s affliction of you.

Tagalog : Sa araw na sila ay kakaladkarin tungo sa Impiyerno sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga mukha at sasabihin sa kanila: Lasapin ninyo ang sidhi ng kaparusahan ng Impiyerno.

54:49

Hassanor Alapa : Mataan a langowan a shayi na inadn Ami skaniyan sa dianka (a mattndo).

Muhsin Khan : Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation, as written in the Book of Decrees Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz).

Sahih International : Indeed, all things We created with predestination.

Pickthall : Lo! We have created every thing by measure.

Yusuf Ali : Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure.

Shakir : Surely We have created everything according to a measure.

Dr. Ghali : Surely We created everything by a determined estimate.

Tafsir Jalalayn : Truly everything (read inna kulla shay’in is [in the accusative as a] dependent clause because of a verb governing it) have We created in a measure, by ordainment (bi-qadarin, ‘in a measure’, is a circumstantial qualifier referring to kulla, ‘every’, in other words, ‘[already] predetermined’; a variant reading [for kulla] has [nominative] kullu as the subject, the predicate of which is khalaqnāhu, ‘We have created’).

Tagalog : Katiyakan, ang lahat ng bagay ay nilikha Namin sa ganap at tamang pagkakatakda at pinagpasiyahan Namin, at nauna na sa Aming kalaaman ang hinggil dito.

54:50

Hassanor Alapa : Go da so sogoan Ami 1654 inonta a isaisa sa datar o kaprka ko mata (kailay)

Muhsin Khan : And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye.

Sahih International : And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye.

Pickthall : And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye.

Yusuf Ali : And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye.

Shakir : And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye.

Dr. Ghali : And in no way is Our Command anything except one (Word), as the twinkling of the eye. (Literally: the power of beholding)

Tafsir Jalalayn : And Our command, for a thing which We want to bring into existence, is but a single word, like the twinkling of an eye, in terms of speed, and this is the saying of kun, ‘Be’, whereat it comes into existence. His command, when He wills a thing, is just to say to it ‘Be’, and it is [Q. 36:82].

Tagalog : At anuman ang Aming iniutos hinggil sa isang bagay kapag ito ay nais Namin ay walang iba kundi sasabihin lamang Namin ang isang salita, na ito ay ‘Kun fayakun’ – Mangyari at ito ay kaagad na mangyayari, na katumbas lamang ng pagkurap ng isang mata, at hindi yaon maiaantala ng kahit na isang saglit.

54:51

Hassanor Alapa : Sabnar a inantior Ami so (manga taw) a datar iyo (ko kiakhafir) na ba adn a pd sa phananadm

Muhsin Khan : And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?

Sahih International : And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember?

Pickthall : And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth?

Yusuf Ali : And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition?

Shakir : And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind?

Dr. Ghali : And indeed We have already caused your sects to perish; is there then any that will recollect?

Tafsir Jalalayn : And verily We have destroyed the likes of you, the likes of you in terms of disbelief, from among past communities. So is there anyone who will remember? (this is an interrogative meant as an imperative, that is to say, ‘Remember and be admonished!’).

Tagalog : Katiyakan, pinuksa Namin ang mga katulad nila sa di-paniniwala na naunang mga tao, kung gayon, mayroon bang nais ng paalaala sa anumang nangyari sa kanila na galit at parusa?

54:52

Hassanor Alapa : Go langowan a shayi a pinggalbk iran na madadalm ko kitāb a 1655 panoratan (ko manga amal)

Muhsin Khan : And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds).

Sahih International : And everything they did is in written records.

Pickthall : And every thing they did is in the scriptures,

Yusuf Ali : All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds):

Shakir : And everything they have done is in the writings.

Dr. Ghali : And everything they have performed is in the Zubur. (Scriptures)

Tafsir Jalalayn : And everything they, that is, servants, have done is, recorded, in the scrolls, the books of the Guardian Angels (al-hafaza),

Tagalog : At ang lahat ng bagay na ginawa ng mga nauna na mga katulad ninyo, mabuti man o masama ay naitala sa Aklat na itinala ng mga tagapagsulat.

54:53

Hassanor Alapa : Go langowan a (galbk) a 1656 maito ago mala na midadakat

Muhsin Khan : And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V.57:22).

Sahih International : And every small and great [thing] is inscribed.

Pickthall : And every small and great thing is recorded.

Yusuf Ali : Every matter, small and great, is on record.

Shakir : And everything small and great is written down.

Dr. Ghali : And every small and great thing is judiciously inscribed.

Tafsir Jalalayn : and every small and great, sin, or deed, is inscribed, is recorded in the Preserved Tablet (al-lawh al-mahfūz).

Tagalog : At lahat ng maliit at malaki na kanilang nagawa ay naitala sa kanilang talaan at ayon doon sila ay tutumbasan.

54:54

Hassanor Alapa : Mataan a so miamananggila na madadalm siran sa manga kasorgaan ago lawas a ig

Muhsin Khan : Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise).

Sahih International : Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,

Pickthall : Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers,

Yusuf Ali : As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers,

Shakir : Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers,

Dr. Ghali : Surely the pious will (dwell) among Gardens and Rivers,

Tafsir Jalalayn : Assuredly the God-fearing will be amid gardens, orchards, and rivers (the collective noun is meant here; a variant reading [for nahar] has the plural nuhur, similar [in form] to asad, ‘lion’, [plural] usud), the meaning being that they will drink from its rivers water milk, honey and wine;

Tagalog : Katiyakan, ang mga matakutin sa Allâh ay nasa kalagitnaan ng mga dakilang Hardin at mga malalawak na Ilog sa Araw ng Muling Pagkabuhay.

54:55

Hassanor Alapa : Sa darpa a mapia a matatago sa (kapaar) a Dato a Gomagaos (so Allāh).

Muhsin Khan : In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour).

Sahih International : In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability.

Pickthall : Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King.

Yusuf Ali : In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent.

Shakir : In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King.

Dr. Ghali : In (secure) seat (s) of Sincerity, in the Providence of a Supreme Determiner, an Ever-Pervading King.

Tafsir Jalalayn : in an abode of truth, a place of truth, wherein there is no idle talk or cause for sin — (the collective noun [maq‘ad] is meant here; a variant reading has maqā‘id, ‘abodes’), in other words, they are in congregations in Paradise that are free from idle talk and cause for sin, in contrast to the congregations of this world, which are rarely free from such things (syntactically, this statement is considered a second predicate and also a substitution; it [the ‘abode’] may be understood as being ‘one of truth’ regardless of whether one reads the substitution as being of the part [for the whole] or otherwise); before a King (malīk: this form is hyperbolic, that is to say, One of a mighty and vast kingdom) [Who is] Omnipotent, Powerful, Whom nothing can thwart, namely, God, exalted be He (‘inda indicates [glorious] rank and closeness to His bounty, exalted be He).

Tagalog : Na nasa makatotohanang upuan na walang anumang salita roon na walang kabuluhan at walang anumang kasalanan na magaganap, at sila ay nasa Allâh na Dakilang Hari, Tagapaglikha ng lahat ng bagay at nagtakda sa lahat ng bagay, luwalhati sa Kanya na Kataas-taasan.

Go pianothol o Imām Ahmad a miakapoon ko Sahl Bin Sa’d a: Mian’g akn so Rasūlullāh [s.a.w] a pitharo iyan a siogo ako a so bankit na datarai (sa karani) na inipaginsarat iyan so tindoro iyan ago so lomalabaw (a maito bo a da niyan kapakaprpng) na datar oto so karani o bankit. 1642. Gianan so kiabnkag o olan ko masa o Rasūlullāh [s.a.w] sii sa Makkah. Pianothol o Imām Ahmad a miakapoon ko Anas Bin Malik a: Piangni o manga taw sa Makkah ko Nabī [s.a.w] sa bgan iyan siran sa tanda, na miabnkag so olan sa miakadowa, sa pitharo iyan a: “ Miakarani so bankit ago miabnkag so olan”. Go miakapoon ko Anas Bin Mālik a mataan a so manga taw sa Makkah na piangni ran ko Rasūlullāh [s.a.w] a pakailayin iyan siran sa tanda, na piakiilay niyan kiran so olan sa dowa opak sa miailay ran a Hirā’ ko pagltan o dowa a opakan iyan. (miakambowat ko dowa a Sahih). Go pianothol o Imām Ahmad a miakapoon ko Jubayr Bin Mut’im a: Miabnkag so olan ko masa o Rasūlullāh [s.a.w] na miabaloy a dowa opak saopak sankai a palaw na saopak sankai a isa a palaw, na pitharo iran a (manga taw sa Makkah) a sialamankirowan tano o Mohammad, na pitharo iran a o kiasalamankirowan tano niyan na di niyan magaga o ba niyan mabalik mata so kalangowan o manga taw.
