Sūrah Abasa - [ 80 So Rasūlullāh a Miakarimng a Paras Iyan ] - سـورة عبـس
( He Frowned - Nagkunot ng Noo )

Pangnal ko Sūrah

Giai so Sūrah a pphakitadman iyan so btad o isa a taw a bota a kakokorangan so sipat iyan ogaid na mabagr so paratiaya niyan a miakabaloy ron a mama a inidakat o thotol na kalaan on na so Qur’ān ko btad iyan ko Islām, gowani a makaoma ko Rasūlullāh [s.a.w] sa pphloba sa toroan a mioman iyan ko andang a bts iyan a paratiaya. Na sabap ko kassndod o Rasūlullāh [s.a.w] ko gii niyan kimbitiarain ko manga ala ko Quraysh a aarapn iyan a kasaboti ran ko panolon, na miarimorng skaniyan ko phan’gl a pakaiza o isa a taw a bota, na miakarimng so paras iyan, na tioronan a wahī a aya dn a patogina niyan na so Abasa, a maana a miakaibi sa kiarimorng. Giankoto a mama na skanian so Abdullāh Ibn Ummi Maktūm, a lalayon skaniyan ipmbagak o Rasūlullāh [s.a.w] sa Madīnah a pd o manga babay ko masa a gii niyan kapakithidawa sa liyo.

Piakisabotan o Qur’ān a so paratiaya ko Allāh na da a ba niyan phamiliin a manosiya sabap ko asal a pakatopo o bangnsa odi na so bontal o kobal ago so robosan, aya bo a khilalaan iyan na so poso’ a tolabos a maalkn ko Allāh a datar ankoto a isa a taw a bota a khokorang so kaphakanggay niyan a gona ko kaphagingd a barandia ko kailay o manosiya, ogaid na so Allāh na aya phagilayin iyan na so madadalm ko manga poso’.

Pdai ko minikabalaga a sūrah a tomioron sa Makkah, a aya kadakl a ayat iyan na 42, tomioron ko oriyan o Sūrah an Najm.

بِســمِ اللهِ الرَّ حْـمَنِ الرَّحِيـــمِ
Sii sa Ingaran o Allah a Makalimoon a Masalinggagawn.
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Sa Ngalan ng Allâh, ang Pinakamahabagin, ang Napakamaawain at Ganap na Mapagmahal

80:1

Hassanor Alapa : Miakarimng a paras iyan ago tomialikhod 1934 (so Rasūlullāh [s.a.w])

Muhsin Khan : (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away,

Sahih International : The Prophet frowned and turned away

Pickthall : He frowned and turned away

Yusuf Ali : (The Prophet) frowned and turned away,

Shakir : He frowned and turned (his) back,

Dr. Ghali : He (The prophet) frowned and turned away,

Tafsir Jalalayn : He, the Prophet, frowned, glowered with his face, and turned away,

Tagalog : Nakita ang pagkunot ng noo at pagbabago sa mukha ng Sugo ng Allâh at pagtalikod

80:2

Hassanor Alapa : Gowani a maoma skaniyan o bota

Muhsin Khan : Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs).

Sahih International : Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting].

Pickthall : Because the blind man came unto him.

Yusuf Ali : Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting).

Shakir : Because there came to him the blind man.

Dr. Ghali : That the blind man came to him.

Tafsir Jalalayn : because the blind man came to him: ‘Abd Allāh son of Umm Maktūm, who interrupted him while he was busy with those notables of Quryash whose submission [to God] he was very eager for. The blind man was not aware that he was busy with these and so he called out to him, ‘Teach me of what God has taught you’. However, the Prophet (s) went off to his house. He was then reproached for this with what was revealed in this sūra. Afterwards, whenever he came to him, the Prophet would say to him, ‘Greetings to him on whose account God reproached me!’, and would lay down his cloak for him.

Tagalog : Mula sa bulag na si `Abdullah Ibn Ummi Makhtoum na dumating sa kanya na humihingi ng gabay, habang ang Sugo ng Allâh ay abala sa paghikayat ng mga matataas na Quraysh tungo sa Islâm.

80:3

Hassanor Alapa : Go antai phakatokaw rka ِa skaniyan na pzoti (pharatiaya)

Muhsin Khan : But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)?

Sahih International : But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified

Pickthall : What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace)

Yusuf Ali : But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?-

Shakir : And what would make you know that he would purify himself,

Dr. Ghali : And what makes you (The prophet) realize whether he (The blind man (Abdullah ibn Umm Maktum) would possibly (try) to cleanse himself.

Tafsir Jalalayn : And how would you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself (yazzakkā: the original tā’ [of yatazakkā] has been assimilated with the zāy), that is, [perhaps] he would purge himself of sins by what he hears from you,

Tagalog : At ano bang bagay ang makapagpapabatid sa iyo sa katotohanan hinggil sa kanya? Na maaaring siya sa kanyang pagtatanong ay maging dalisay ang kanyang sarili mula sa kasalanan,

80:4

Hassanor Alapa : Odi’ na phananadm na makanggay ron a gona so pananadm (iyan)

Muhsin Khan : Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him?

Sahih International : Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him?

Pickthall : Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him?

Yusuf Ali : Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him?

Shakir : Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him?

Dr. Ghali : Or that he would constantly remember, and the Reminding would profit him?

Tafsir Jalalayn : or be admonished (yadhdhakkar: the original tā’ [of yatadhakkar] has been assimilated with the dhāl) and so the reminder, the admonition heard from you, might benefit him (a variant reading [for tanfa‘uhu] has tanfa‘ahu as the response to the optative statement).

Tagalog : O di kaya ay magkaroon siya ng karagdagang aral at mga babala.

80:5

Hassanor Alapa : Na so pman so taw a domiapay (a somianka)

Muhsin Khan : As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient,

Sahih International : As for he who thinks himself without need,

Pickthall : As for him who thinketh himself independent,

Yusuf Ali : As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient,

Shakir : As for him who considers himself free from need (of you),

Dr. Ghali : (But) as for him who thinks himself self- sufficient,

Tafsir Jalalayn : But as for the one [who thinks himself] self-sufficient, through wealth,

Tagalog : Subali’t siya na hindi nangangailangan ng iyong gabay dahil iniisip niyang siya’y malaya dahil sa kanyang yaman at tinataglay na mataas na antas sa lipunan,

80:6

Hassanor Alapa : Na aya nka totordon

Muhsin Khan : To him you attend;

Sahih International : To him you give attention.

Pickthall : Unto him thou payest regard.

Yusuf Ali : To him dost thou attend;

Shakir : To him do you address yourself.

Dr. Ghali : To him then you (are eager) to attend,

Tafsir Jalalayn : to him you [do] attend (tasaddā: a variant reading has tassaddā, where the original second tā’ [of tatasaddā] has been assimilated with the sād), [him] you accept and turn your attention to;

Tagalog : Siya ang mas pinagtuunan mo ng pansin at pinakikinggan ang kanyang sinasabi,

80:7

Hassanor Alapa : A daa patoray rka sa di nyan kapzoti (kapharatiaya)

Muhsin Khan : What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah).

Sahih International : And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified.

Pickthall : Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace).

Yusuf Ali : Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding).

Shakir : And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself

Dr. Ghali : And in no way is it up to you (if) he should not (try to) cleanse himself.

Tafsir Jalalayn : yet it is not your concern if he does not cleanse himself, [if he does not] believe.

Tagalog : Ano baga ang halaga sa iyo kung hindi niya lilinisin ang kanyang sarili mula sa maling paniniwala?

80:8

Hassanor Alapa : Na so pman so taw a miaoma ka niyan a pphanizakay (ko toroan)

Muhsin Khan : But as to him who came to you running.

Sahih International : But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge]

Pickthall : But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose

Yusuf Ali : But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly,

Shakir : And as to him who comes to you striving hard,

Dr. Ghali : And as for him who has come to you endeavoring (to cleanse himself),

Tafsir Jalalayn : But as for him who comes to you hurrying (yas‘ā is a circumstantial qualifier referring to the subject of [the verb] jā’a, ‘comes’)

Tagalog : At siya naman na nananabik sa pakikipagtagpo sa iyo,

80:9

Hassanor Alapa : A skaniyan na maalkn (ko Kadnan iyan)

Muhsin Khan : And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment),

Sahih International : While he fears [ Allah ],

Pickthall : And hath fear,

Yusuf Ali : And with fear (in his heart),

Shakir : And he fears,

Dr. Ghali : And he is apprehensive (of his Lord),

Tafsir Jalalayn : fearful, of God (wa-huwa yakhshā is a circumstantial qualifier referring to the subject of [the verb] yas‘ā, ‘hurrying’) — this being the blind man —

Tagalog : At natatakot sa Allâh mula sa kakulangan niya sa mga patnubay,

80:10

Hassanor Alapa : Na aya nka dadapayin

Muhsin Khan : Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another,

Sahih International : From him you are distracted.

Pickthall : From him thou art distracted.

Yusuf Ali : Of him wast thou unmindful.

Shakir : From him will you divert yourself.

Dr. Ghali : Then of him you were being unmindful.

Tafsir Jalalayn : to him you pay no heed (talahhā: the original second tā’ [of tatalahhā] has been omitted), that is to say, from him you are distracted [by other things].

Tagalog : Ay siya naman ang hindi mo pinagkaabalahan at mas binigyan mo ng pansin ang iba.

80:11

Hassanor Alapa : Di’, mataan a skaniyan na pananadm

Muhsin Khan : Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition,

Sahih International : No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder;

Pickthall : Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment,

Yusuf Ali : By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction:

Shakir : Nay! surely it is an admonishment.

Dr. Ghali : Not at all! Surely it is a Reminder.

Tafsir Jalalayn : No indeed!, do not behave like this. Truly it, the sūra, is, or the verses [are], a reminder, an admonition for [all] creatures —

Tagalog : Hindi nararapat na ganoon ang iyong ginawa, O Muhammad, katiyakan, ang kabanatang ito ng Banal na Qur’ân ay bilang pagpapayo sa iyo at sa lahat ng nagnais ng pagpapayo. Na kung kaya,

80:12

Hassanor Alapa : Na sa taw a mabaya na tadman iyan

Muhsin Khan : So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it.

Sahih International : So whoever wills may remember it.

Pickthall : So let whosoever will pay heed to it,

Yusuf Ali : Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance.

Shakir : So let him who pleases mind it.

Dr. Ghali : So, whoever decides will remember it.

Tafsir Jalalayn : so let whoever will, remember it, preserve it [in his memory] and thus be admonished by it —

Tagalog : Sinuman ang nagnais ay purihin niya ang Allâh at sumunod sa Kanyang kapahayagan.

80:13

Hassanor Alapa : Sii sa manga pandangan a sslaan

Muhsin Khan : (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz).

Sahih International : [It is recorded] in honored sheets,

Pickthall : On honoured leaves

Yusuf Ali : (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour,

Shakir : In honored books,

Dr. Ghali : (It is) in Scrolls high-honored,

Tafsir Jalalayn : on leaves (fī suhufin is the second predicate of innahā, ‘truly it’, and what precedes it is a parenthetical statement) [that are] honoured, by God,

Tagalog : At itong kapahayagan na Banal na Qur’ân ay nasa mga dakilang talaan na napakataas ng antas

80:14

Hassanor Alapa : A ipoporo a sosotin

Muhsin Khan : Exalted (in dignity), purified,

Sahih International : Exalted and purified,

Pickthall : Exalted, purified,

Yusuf Ali : Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy,

Shakir : Exalted, purified,

Dr. Ghali : Upraised, purified.

Tafsir Jalalayn : elevated, in the heavens, purified, exalted above the touch of devils,

Tagalog : At napakarangal na malinis mula sa anumang dungis ng pagdaragdag at pagbabawas,

80:15

Hassanor Alapa : Sa tangan a manga malāikat 1935

Muhsin Khan : In the hands of scribes (angels).

Sahih International : [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels,

Pickthall : (Set down) by scribes

Yusuf Ali : (Written) by the hands of scribes-

Shakir : In the hands of scribes

Dr. Ghali : By the hands of (serene) Scribes,

Tafsir Jalalayn : in the hands of scribes, who write it down from the Preserved Tablet,

Tagalog : Na nasa mga kamay ng mga anghel na tagasulat, na mga tagapagdala ng mensahe sa pagitan ng Allâh at ng Kanyang nilikha, sila (mga anghel) ay kagalang-galang na nilikha,

80:16

Hassanor Alapa : A khisasakawn a manga pipia

Muhsin Khan : Honourable and obedient.

Sahih International : Noble and dutiful.

Pickthall : Noble and righteous.

Yusuf Ali : Honourable and Pious and Just.

Shakir : Noble, virtuous.

Dr. Ghali : Honorable, benign.

Tafsir Jalalayn : noble, pious, obedient to God, exalted be He: these being the angels.

Tagalog : Ang kanilang katangian at mga gawain ay pagiging masunurin at dalisay,

80:17

Hassanor Alapa : Kiamorkaan so manosiya, a sayana a barakafir

Muhsin Khan : Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is!

Sahih International : Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he.

Pickthall : Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful!

Yusuf Ali : Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah;

Shakir : Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he!

Dr. Ghali : Slain be man! How disbelieving he is!

Tafsir Jalalayn : Perish man!, accursed be the disbeliever! What has made him ungrateful? (an interrogative statement meant as a rebuke) — what has driven him to disbelief?

Tagalog : Isinumpa ang taong walang pananampalataya at pinarusahan, napakatindi ng kanyang paglabag sa Allâh na Tagapaglikha!

80:18

Hassanor Alapa : Antonaa a shayi i inadnan iyan on (so pho-onan iyan)

Muhsin Khan : From what thing did He create him?

Sahih International : From what substance did He create him?

Pickthall : From what thing doth He create him?

Yusuf Ali : From what stuff hath He created him?

Shakir : Of what thing did He create him?

Dr. Ghali : Of whichever thing did He create him?

Tafsir Jalalayn : From what thing has He created him? (an interrogative meant as an affirmative, which He then explains by saying):

Tagalog : Hindi ba niya napagmasdan kung saang bagay siya nagmula noong una siyang nilikha ng Allâh?

80:19

Hassanor Alapa : Phoon sa sathak a ig (manī) na inadn iyan skaniyan na dinianka iyan 1936

Muhsin Khan : From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion;

Sahih International : From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him;

Pickthall : From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him,

Yusuf Ali : From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions;

Shakir : Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure,

Dr. Ghali : Of a sperm drop He created him; so He determined him.

Tafsir Jalalayn : From a drop of sperm did He create him then proportion him, [in stages] as a blood-clot, then an embryo up to the last [stage] of his creation.

Tagalog : Nilikha siya ng Allâh mula sa isang patak na lusaw na bagay, na ito ay semilya, na kasunod noon ay itinakda ang mga yugto ng kanyang buhay at tamang sukat at hugis,

80:20

Hassanor Alapa : Oriyan iyan na so lalan na libod iyan on 1937

Muhsin Khan : Then He makes the Path easy for him;

Sahih International : Then He eased the way for him;

Pickthall : Then maketh the way easy for him,

Yusuf Ali : Then doth He make His path smooth for him;

Shakir : Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him)

Dr. Ghali : Thereafter the way He eased for him,

Tafsir Jalalayn : Then He made the way, his exit from his mother’s belly, easy for him;

Tagalog : Pagkatapos ay ipinakita sa kanya ang daan ng mabuti at masama,

80:21

Hassanor Alapa : Oriyan iyan na piatay niyan na inilbng iyan

Muhsin Khan : Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave;

Sahih International : Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him.

Pickthall : Then causeth him to die, and burieth him;

Yusuf Ali : Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave;

Shakir : Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave,

Dr. Ghali : Thereafter He makes him to die, so He entombs him,

Tafsir Jalalayn : then He makes him die and buries him, He places him in a grave that hides him;

Tagalog : Pagkatapos ay sinanhi Niya na siya ay mamatay at ginawan siya ng lugar para kanyang paglilibingan,

80:22

Hassanor Alapa : Oriyan iyan na o kabayai Niyan na oyagn Iyan skaniyan

Muhsin Khan : Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again).

Sahih International : Then when He wills, He will resurrect him.

Pickthall : Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life.

Yusuf Ali : Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again).

Shakir : Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again.

Dr. Ghali : Thereafter when He (so) decides, He makes him rise again.

Tafsir Jalalayn : then, when He wills, He will raise him, for the Resurrection.

Tagalog : Pagkatapos kapag ninais na ng Allâh ay bubuhayin siya na mag-uli at ibabalik pagkatapos ng kamatayan para sa paghuhukom at pagbabayad.

80:23

Hassanor Alapa : Di’, ka da niyan pn matonay so inisogo Iyan on

Muhsin Khan : Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him.

Sahih International : No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him.

Pickthall : Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him.

Yusuf Ali : By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him.

Shakir : Nay; but he has not done what He bade him.

Dr. Ghali : Not at all! (Man) has not as yet performed what He has commanded him!

Tafsir Jalalayn : No indeed! Verily, he has not accomplished, he has not done, what He, his Lord, commanded him, to [do].

Tagalog : Ang katotohanan ay hindi ang yaong sinabi at ginawa nang walang pananampalataya, dahil hindi niya isinagawa ang iniutos ng Allâh sa kanya na tamang paniniwala at pagpapatupad ng pagsunod sa Kanya.

80:24

Hassanor Alapa : Ilaya o manosiya so pangn’nkn iyan

Muhsin Khan : Then let man look at his food,

Sahih International : Then let mankind look at his food -

Pickthall : Let man consider his food:

Yusuf Ali : Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it):

Shakir : Then let man look to his food,

Dr. Ghali : So, let (man) look into his food;

Tafsir Jalalayn : So let man consider, in reflection, his [source of] food, how it is determined and procured for him:

Tagalog : Pagmasdan ng tao: kung paano nilikha ang kanyang kinakain na ito ang bumubuhay sa kanya.

80:25

Hassanor Alapa : A mataan a Skami na piakadogayas Ami so ig sa katoga’

Muhsin Khan : That We pour forth water in abundance,

Sahih International : How We poured down water in torrents,

Pickthall : How We pour water in showers

Yusuf Ali : For that We pour forth water in abundance,

Shakir : That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance,

Dr. Ghali : (For) that We poured water in abundance, (Literally: with abundant pouring)

Tafsir Jalalayn : that We pour down water, from the clouds, plenteously;

Tagalog : Katiyakan, ibinuhos Namin sa kalupaan ang tubig nang tamang pagkabuhos nito,

80:26

Hassanor Alapa : Go binkag Ami so lopa’ sa kabnkag

Muhsin Khan : And We split the earth in clefts,

Sahih International : Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts],

Pickthall : Then split the earth in clefts

Yusuf Ali : And We split the earth in fragments,

Shakir : Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder,

Dr. Ghali : Thereafter We clove the earth in fissures, (Literally: in cloven "fissures").

Tafsir Jalalayn : then We split the earth into fissures, with vegetation,

Tagalog : Pagkatapos ay biniyak Namin ito upang sumibol mula rito ang iba’t ibang pananim,

80:27

Hassanor Alapa : Na piakathoan Ami skaniyan sa oniin a ibabasok

Muhsin Khan : And We cause therein the grain to grow,

Sahih International : And caused to grow within it grain

Pickthall : And cause the grain to grow therein

Yusuf Ali : And produce therein corn,

Shakir : Then We cause to grow therein the grain,

Dr. Ghali : So, therein We caused (the) grain to grow,

Tafsir Jalalayn : and cause the grains, such as wheat and barley, to grow therein,

Tagalog : At sa pamamagitan nito pinasibol Namin ang mga butil,

80:28

Hassanor Alapa : Ago anggor ago mangngtho’ (a pthathabn a binatang)1938

Muhsin Khan : And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle),

Sahih International : And grapes and herbage

Pickthall : And grapes and green fodder

Yusuf Ali : And Grapes and nutritious plants,

Shakir : And grapes and clover,

Dr. Ghali : And vines, and clover, (Or: reeds).

Tafsir Jalalayn : and vines and herbs (qadb is moist qatt),

Tagalog : At mga ubas, at mga damuhan para sa mga hayop,

80:29

Hassanor Alapa : Go zaytūn ago korma

Muhsin Khan : And olives and date-palms,

Sahih International : And olive and palm trees

Pickthall : And olive-trees and palm-trees

Yusuf Ali : And Olives and Dates,

Shakir : And the olive and the palm,

Dr. Ghali : And olives and palm trees,

Tafsir Jalalayn : and olives and date-palms,

Tagalog : At mga ‘zayton’ (oliba), at mga puno ng palmera ng datiles,

80:30

Hassanor Alapa : Go manga asinda a marimpoong

Muhsin Khan : And gardens, dense with many trees,

Sahih International : And gardens of dense shrubbery

Pickthall : And garden-closes of thick foliage

Yusuf Ali : And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees,

Shakir : And thick gardens,

Dr. Ghali : And enclosed orchards with dense trees,

Tafsir Jalalayn : and gardens of dense foliage, orchards teeming with trees,

Tagalog : At malalagong mga puno ng mga hardin,

80:31

Hassanor Alapa : Go onga a sapad ago otan

Muhsin Khan : And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.),

Sahih International : And fruit and grass -

Pickthall : And fruits and grasses:

Yusuf Ali : And fruits and fodder,-

Shakir : And fruits and herbage

Dr. Ghali : And fruits, and grass, (Or: fodder)

Tafsir Jalalayn : and fruits and pastures (abb is what cattle graze; it is also said to be ‘straw’),

Tagalog : At mga bunga (o prutas) na iba’t ibang uri at mga halamanan, at mga ‘abb’ (mga ‘herbs’ o damong-gamot at iba pa),

80:32

Hassanor Alapa : A pzawitan iyo ago so manga ayam iyo

Muhsin Khan : (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle.

Sahih International : [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock.

Pickthall : Provision for you and your cattle.

Yusuf Ali : For use and convenience to you and your cattle.

Shakir : A provision for you and for your cattle.

Dr. Ghali : An enjoyment for you and your cattle (ÉAncam includes cattle, camels, sheep and goats).

Tafsir Jalalayn : as sustenance (understand matā‘an as mut‘atan or tamtī‘an, as explained above in the previous sūra) for you and your flocks (also as [explained] above).

Tagalog : Upang kayo ay masisiyahan sa mga biyayang ito, kayo at ang inyong mga alagang hayop.

Hassanor Alapa : Na may ka makaoma so phakabiso a lagam 1939

Muhsin Khan : Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet),

Sahih International : But when there comes the Deafening Blast

Pickthall : But when the Shout cometh

Yusuf Ali : At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,-

Shakir : But when the deafening cry comes,

Yusuf Ali : That Day shall a man flee from his own brother,

Shakir : The day on which a man shall fly from his brother,

Muhsin Khan : Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others.

Sahih International : For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him.

Pickthall : Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others).

Yusuf Ali : Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.

Shakir : Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him.

Dr. Ghali : Upon that Day every (single) person of them will have an affair that will preoccupy him.

Tafsir Jalalayn : every person that day will have a matter to preoccupy him, a predicament to distract him from the affairs of others, in other words, every person will be preoccupied with his own self.

Tagalog : Bawa’t isa sa kanila sa Araw na yaon ay sarili lamang niya ang kanyang pagtutuunan ng pansin at wala na siyang pakialam sa iba.

80:38

Hassanor Alapa : Go adn a manga paras sa alongan oto a makalalangas

Muhsin Khan : Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism).

Sahih International : [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright -

Pickthall : On that day faces will be bright as dawn,

Yusuf Ali : Some faces that Day will be beaming,

Shakir : (Many) faces on that day shall be bright,

Dr. Ghali : (Some) faces upon that Day will be shining,

Tafsir Jalalayn : On that day some faces will be shining, radiant,

Sahih International : And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust.

Shakir : Darkness shall cover them.

Dr. Ghali : Oppressed by gloom.

Tafsir Jalalayn : overcast, covered, with gloom, darkness and blackness.

Tagalog : Na pinagtakluban ito ng kapighatian.

80:42

Hassanor Alapa : Na siran oto na siran so manga kafir a baradosa.

Muhsin Khan : Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers).

Sahih International : Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones.

Pickthall : Those are the disbelievers, the wicked.

Yusuf Ali : Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity.

Shakir : These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked.

Dr. Ghali : Those are they (who) are the persistent, impious disbelievers.

Tafsir Jalalayn : Those, the people of this predicament, are the disbelievers, the profligates, those who have combined disbelief with profligacy.

Tagalog : Sila na ganito ang katangian ay sila ang mga yaong binalewala ang mga biyaya ng Allâh at hindi pinaniwalaan ang Kanyang mga talata at naghimagsik sa pakikipaglaban sa Allâh sa pamamagitan ng pagtanggi at pagsagawa ng sukdulang kasamaan.

1935.
