Dr. Ghali : And (by the) witness and the witnessed- Tafsir Jalalayn : and [by] the witness, Friday, and the witnessed, the day of ‘Arafa — that is how these three [elements] have been explained in hadīth: for the first one is ‘promised’, the second one is ‘a witness’ [that testifies] to deeds performed in it, while the third is ‘witnessed’ by mankind and angels (the introductory [particle] of the response to the oath has been omitted, but is implied to be laqad, ‘verily’, [sc. laqad qutila ashābu’l-ukhdūd]): Tagalog : At sa pamamagitan ng ‘Shâhid’ (sumasaksi) na ito ay ‘Jum`ah,’ at sa ‘Mashhûd’ (sinaksihang araw) na ito ay araw ng ‘`Arafat.’ At sumusumpa ang Allâh sa anumang nais Niya para sa Kanyang mga nilikha, magkagayunpaman, ang nilikha ay hindi maaaring sumumpa sa pamamagitan ninuman kundi sa Pangalan lamang ng Allâh, dahil ang panunumpa sa iba bukod sa Allâh ay isang ‘Shirk.’ 85:4Hassanor Alapa : Biono )kiamorkaan) so manga taw a khirk ko manga kakar 1975 Muhsin Khan : Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). Tafsir Jalalayn : and they themselves, to what they did to those who believed, in God, in the way of torturing them by hurling [them] into the fire when they did not recant their faith, were witnesses, [they were themselves] present [thereat]. It is reported [in a hadīth] that God saved the believers who had been thrown into the fire by taking their souls before they fell into it, and that the fire then rose up and burnt all those [sitting] around it. Tagalog : At sila ang saksi sa anuman na ginawa nilang pagpapahirap at pagpaparusa sa mga mananampalataya. 85:8Hassanor Alapa : Go da a inisiksa iran kiran a rowar sa kiaparatiayaa iran ko Allāh a Mabagr a Babantogn Muhsin Khan : They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! Yusuf Ali : Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. Shakir : Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. Dr. Ghali : Surely the ones who tempted the male believers and the female believers, (and) thereafter they have not repented, then they will have the torment of Hell, and they will (also) have the torment of the burning. Tafsir Jalalayn : Indeed those who persecute believing men and believing women, by having them burnt, then do not repent, there will be for them the chastisement of Hell, [in return] for their disbelief, and there will [also] be for them the chastisement of burning, that is to say, the chastisement for their having had the believers burnt, in the Hereafter; but it is also said [that there is this chastisement for them] in this world, as when the fire rose up and burnt them, as [mentioned] above. 85:11Hassanor Alapa : Mataan a so siran oto a miamaratiaya ago minggalbk siran sa manga pipia na adn a rk iran a manga kasorgaan a pphamanoga ko kababaan iyan so manga lawas a ig a gioto so kapagontong a mala’ Muhsin Khan : Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise).
