Sahih International : And at the earth - how it is spread out? Pickthall : And the earth, how it is spread? Yusuf Ali : And at the Earth, how it is spread out? Shakir : And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? Dr. Ghali : And at the earth, how it has been encrusted? (i.e., provided with a surface or crust). Tafsir Jalalayn : And the earth, how it was laid out flat?, and thus infer from this the power of God, exalted be He, and His Oneness? The commencing with the [mention of] camels is because they are closer in contact with it [the earth] than any other [animal]. As for His words sutihat, ‘laid out flat’, this on a literal reading suggests that the earth is flat, which is the opinion of most of the scholars of the [revealed] Law, and not a sphere as astronomers (ahl al-hay’a) have it, even if this [latter] does not contradict any of the pillars of the Law. Tagalog : At sa kalupaan kung paano itong ginawang palatag at madaling pamuhayan? 88:21Hassanor Alapa : Pamakatadm ka (hay Mohammad) ka mataan a ska na phamakatadm Muhsin Khan : So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. Pickthall : Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, Yusuf Ali : Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. Shakir : Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. Dr. Ghali : So remind them! Surely you are only a constant Reminder; Tafsir Jalalayn : So remind, them of God’s graces and the proofs affirming His Oneness. For you are only an admonisher; Tagalog : Kung gayon, paalalahanan mo, O Muhammad, ang mga tumanggi sa mensaheng dala-dala mo sa kanila, at huwag kang malungkot sa kanilang pagtanggi, dahil ikaw, ang tungkulin mo ay tagapagpaalaala lamang, 88:22Hassanor Alapa : Kna o ba ka, sii kiran 2000 phapaar (ko kakhatoro iran) Muhsin Khan : You are not a dictator over them. Sahih International : You are not over them a controller. Pickthall : Thou art not at all a warder over them. Yusuf Ali : Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. Shakir : You are not a watcher over them; Dr. Ghali : You are not in any way a dominator over them, Tafsir Jalalayn : you are not a taskmaster over them (a variant reading [for musaytir] has musaytir, that is to say, [not one who has been] given authority over them) — this was [revealed] before the command to struggle [against the disbelievers]. Tagalog : At wala kang karapatan na pilitin o puwersahin sila para maniwala. 88:23Hassanor Alapa : Inonta bo sa taw a tomalikhod ago khafir Muhsin Khan : Save the one who turns away and disbelieves Sahih International : However, he who turns away and disbelieves - Pickthall : But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, Yusuf Ali : But if any turn away and reject Allah,- Shakir : But whoever turns back and disbelieves, Dr. Ghali : Except for him who has turned away and disbelieved, Tafsir Jalalayn : But he who turns away, [he who] rejects faith, and disbelieves, in the Qur’ān, Tagalog : Subali’t ang sinumang tumanggi sa pagpapaalaala at pagpapayo at nagpumilit sa di paniniwala, 88:24Hassanor Alapa : Na siksaan skaniyan 2001 o Allāh sa siksa a lbi a mala Muhsin Khan : Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. Tafsir Jalalayn : God will chastise him with the greater chastisement, the chastisement of the Hereafter, the lesser chastisement being that of this world, that of being killed or taken captive. Tagalog : Ay walang pag-aalinlangang parurusahan siya ng Allâh nang matinding kaparusahan sa Impiyerno. 88:25Hassanor Alapa : Mataan a sii Rkami so khandodan iran Muhsin Khan : Verily, to Us will be their return; Sahih International : Indeed, to Us is their return. Pickthall : Lo! unto Us is their return Yusuf Ali : For to Us will be their return; Shakir : Surely to Us is their turning back, Dr. Ghali : Surely, to Us is their coming back, Tafsir Jalalayn : Truly to Us will be their return, their coming back after death, Tagalog : Katiyakan, sa Amin sila magbabalik pagkatapos ng kamatayan, 88:26Hassanor Alapa : Orian iyan na patoray Rkami so kaisipa kiran. Muhsin Khan : Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. Sahih International : Then indeed, upon Us is their account. Pickthall : And Ours their reckoning. Yusuf Ali : Then it will be for Us to call them to account. Shakir : Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. Dr. Ghali : Thereafter surely upon Us is their reckoning. Tafsir Jalalayn : then truly with Us will lie their reckoning, their requital, which We will never abandon.
