Sii sa Ingaran o Allah a Makalimoon a Masalinggagawn.
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Sa Ngalan ng Allâh, ang Pinakamahabagin, ang Napakamaawain at Ganap na Mapagmahal
105:1Hassanor Alapa : Ba nka da mailay o andamanaya i pinggolawla o Kadnan ka ko manga taw o Gadiya? 2070 Muhsin Khan : Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah]. Sahih International : Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant? Pickthall : Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant? Yusuf Ali : Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the Companions of the Elephant? Shakir : Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant? Dr. Ghali : Have you not seen how your Lord performed with the companions (i.e., owners) of the elephant? Tafsir Jalalayn : Have you not considered (an interrogative meant to provoke marvel, in other words, ‘marvel at’) the way in which your Lord dealt with the Men of the Elephant?, who was named Mahmūd, and the men were Abraha, King of Yemen and his troops. He had built a church in San‘ā’ in order to divert pilgrims away from Mecca to it. A man from among the Banū Kināna defecated in it and stained its prayer niche with a deflowered virgin’s blood, in contempt of it. Abraha then swore that he would knock down the Ka‘ba. So he approached Mecca with his troops riding Yemeni elephants with Mahmūd at the vanguard. But when they turned to destroy the Ka‘ba, God unleashed upon them what He relates in His words: Tagalog : Hindi mo ba nabalitaan, O Muhammad, kung ano ang ginawa ng iyong ‘Rabb’ na Tagapaglikha, sa mga nagmamay-ari ng Elepante: na si Abrahah Al-Ashram na taga-Abysinnia at ang kanyang mga sundalo, na ang hangarin nila ay wasakin ang Ka`bah sa Makkah? 105:2Hassanor Alapa : Ba Niyan da baloya so 2071 gasta iran a miaadn sa kadadas Muhsin Khan : Did He not make their plot go astray? Sahih International : Did He not make their plan into misguidance? Pickthall : Did He not bring their stratagem to naught, Yusuf Ali : Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray? Shakir : Did He not cause their war to end in confusion, Dr. Ghali : Did He not make their plotting go into great error? Tafsir Jalalayn : Did He not make — that is to say, He did [indeed] make — their stratagem, to destroy the Ka‘ba, go astray, [ending up] in failure and destruction, Tagalog : Hindi ba ginawa Niya ang kanilang masamang balakin na hindi maganap? 105:3Hassanor Alapa : Sa siogoan Iyan siran sa papanok a zasarnkap 2072 Muhsin Khan : And sent against them birds, in flocks, Sahih International : And He sent against them birds in flocks, Pickthall : And send against them swarms of flying creatures, Yusuf Ali : And He sent against them Flights of Birds, Shakir : And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks, Dr. Ghali : And He sent upon them baleful birds (in flocks), Tafsir Jalalayn : and unleashed upon them swarms of birds, [birds] in droves, one following the next (it is said there is no singular form for it [abābīl], like asātīr; but some say that the singular is abūl or ibāl or ibbīl, similar [in constructed pattern] to ‘ajūl, miftāh and sikkīn), Tagalog : At nagpadala Siya laban sa kanila ng mga ibon, na napakarami, 105:4Hassanor Alapa : A pphangologan iran siran sa manga ator a pd sa lipaw a tomigas Muhsin Khan : Striking them with stones of Sijjil. Sahih International : Striking them with stones of hard clay, Pickthall : Which pelted them with stones of baked clay, Yusuf Ali : Striking them with stones of baked clay. Shakir : Casting against them stones of baked clay, Dr. Ghali : Throwing against them stones of baked clay; Tafsir Jalalayn : pelting them with stones of baked clay, Tagalog : Na pinagbabagsakan sila ng mga batong ‘Sijjeel’ na gawa sa matitigas na luwad. 105:5Hassanor Alapa : Na bialoy Niyan siran a datar a ragami a gagarabn a pianathab. Muhsin Khan : And made them like an empty field of stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle). Sahih International : And He made them like eaten straw. Pickthall : And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle)? Yusuf Ali : Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up. Shakir : So He rendered them like straw eaten up? Dr. Ghali : So He made them like green blades eaten (up). Tafsir Jalalayn : thus making them like devoured blades?, like the leaves of crops which have been consumed, trampled and destroyed by animals. God destroyed each one of them with his own stone, inscribed with his name, larger than a lentil [in size] but smaller than a chick-pea, able to pierce through an egg, a man, or an elephant and go through the ground. This took place in the year of the Prophet’s birth (s). So Sijjīl na skaniyan so lipaw a mimbatik a miagatorator sa katgas, so al Asf, na skaniyan kon so ragami o inimbasok ko da on pn kagaraba, odi na so okap iyan a makasasayan sa opis o onga a pamomolan, odi na skaniyan so raon o ibabasok, aya ptharo-on a ibabasok na so piamola a igira piragon na pkhada so kayo niyan, so pman so pamomolan na so pkharbas so onga niyan na tatap so kayo niyan. |
